Street Knowledge: A TACKMA Editorial

In late August 2016 I was finally given the chance to pull looks from up-and-coming streetwear brand TACKMA. They've got some really cool clothes as well as a flagship store in Columbus, OH. I'd been hoping to shoot their clothes for a project happening in the city but another photographer was selected. When one door closes, another one opens. I'd like to send a big shoutout to Rio Hairston of TACKMA!

TACKMA is a brand that is known for being championed by LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers. While LeBron does have his own RWTW (Roll With The Winners) line, he also identified with the TACKMA acronym and the rest is history.

My good friends and style team -- Jonté Roddy & Rocky Roddy of Fresh Sole -- and I formulated a plan and ended up with a nice streetwear editorial called STREET KNOWLEDGE. I love books, I love to read, I love to know things. I'm also a male of African descent in America and with the way things are going brothas need to be educated as well as have some street smarts or you'll get eaten like small prey.
