I am the product photographer for a brand called Tonē Bekka. Last night, I was summoned to take some product photos of some of the new creations that came out of their design studio. I usually do a massive set-up with a white backdrop, a strobe or two, and a whole lot of extra bells and whistles.

Last night neither Jovanna (founder and lead designer of Tonē Bekka) or myself felt like doing all of that. Instead, I decided to shoot with a 50mm prime 1.2, a Yungnuo YN560 on camera flash, and foam board as a backdrop. We both really like how these came out.

I was impressed with the sharpness and the contrast of these shots. They are appealing and as always, any time I shoot product I’m hoping that the products sell. That’s always my goal. Even though your product isn’t mine, once I shoot for any company, I care about it as if I designed and created the brand.
